Award winner 2017. The motivation was: Kim Amb is a goal-oriented guy who knows what it takes to become a world star. In 2011, he came in 4th place at the U23 European Championships in the Czech Republic and followed that up with a 7th place at the European Championships in Helsinki in 2012. There he was selected for the Olympics in London, where he finished in 18th place. In 2013, he won the Diamond League in Lausanne and came in 11th place at the World Championships in Moscow. In the same year, Kim won his 3rd consecutive Swedish Championship gold in Borås and soon after that he set a personal record with 84.61 m in the World Challenge competitions in Zagreb, where he came in 4th. At the World Championships in Beijing in 2015, he was placed 11th and was also awarded the honorary title “Big Guy” that year. He came 7th in the European Championships in Amsterdam in 2016 and in the same year he took home the victory in the Finnkampen together with his teammates.
